Be brave

Bravery. Courage. Fearlessness.

They are just words like any other. All of us have had to be brave and fearless at some point in our lives. But it can be difficult. Super difficult. Ask me I would know.

This post goes back to my post about communication. How communication is the key to healthy relationships.

When I talk about being brave. I don’t mean jump out of an aeroplane, or go bungee-jumping or river-rafting. I mean be brave in your relationships, with your friendships.

If you like someone, tell them. Then you know whether they like you back or not… you are not sat staring at the screen trying to figure out anymore because you were brave enough to tell them upfront. A rejection might hurt but it is better than a rejection after months of confusion and miscommunication.

Having trouble with a friend? Didn’t like something they did? Tell them. Communicate and explain whats happening. Rather than letting it fester and build up. The more you hold it in, the worse it will be when it actually comes out. Be true to yourself and your friends.

It is easier said than done. But the feeling you get when you tell someone and are upfront about what you are thinking and feeling is the best. You feel so much lighter and happier!

Try it and let me know how it goes. It might cause a little pain and may require a lot of courage but in the end its worth it for the peace of mind you get.
